The Treatment of Refugees

The ICJ has closely been following Australia's treatment of refugees over the past few years. We are concerned that Australia's treatment of refugees may breach international instruments.

The President of the ICJ recently participated in discussion concerning the issue of refugees and in particular Indonesian refugees involved in people smuggling that are of a questionable age and are currently being detained in maximum security in Western Australia. The discussion took place on the 6.30 pm with George Negus show on Channel 10.
